Mortal Kombat is a 2011 fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios. It is the ninth main installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise and a soft reboot of the series. Despite being released only in Japan, the Super Famicom version sold more than two million copies. The PlayStation version has earned "Greatest Hits" status, selling more than 350,000 copies.
