The sequel to Ni no Kuni being developed for Windows and PlayStation 4. Players control Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, a young king who was usurped from his castle and sets out to reclaim his kingdom. Gold Edition is a port of the PlayStation 3 and Vita version of the game and includes the DLC that was released for the game. An updated version of the game called "Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition" was later released that includes an expanded story, 2 new areas, and a new boss.

Dragon Quest XI continues the gameplay of previous games in the series, in which players explore worlds and fight against various monsters, including the ability to explore high areas. Before entering battle, players can also toggle between the 3D and 2D graphical styles. The game features the series' traditional turn-based battle system.
