Before an event, players pick a car, adjust assists such as transmission type and braking aids, and can buy, customise, and upgrade vehicles. Races reward a balance of defensive driving and aggressive tactics like ramming and shunting rivals into barriers. The game offers career, multiplayer, and custom event play, and is regarded as a spiritual successor to the FlatOut series.
