PlayTracker Guide

Leveling up

PlayTracker has an overall progression system that lets you keep leveling up no matter where you play.

XP and leveling

Your PlayTracker level represents your gaming career across all platforms and is calculated based on your achievements and stats across all linked platforms. It is retroactive and if you are a new user, all your previous activity will count. Your level shows up on all of your personal pages and some features unlock as you level up.

Frequently asked questions

How is XP calculated?

XP is calculated based on your achievements. Each achievement is worth 1XP, up to 200XP per game – meaning games with more than 200 achievements will stop giving XP after 200. Bonus XP is awarded for Mastering and Perfecting a game. Mastering a game (completing all core game achievements) gives 30XP and Perfecting a game (completing 100% of achievements) gives an additional 20XP on top of that.

Which features are unlocked with levels?

You’ll get an additional Hall of Fame slot for every 10 levels up to level 100.

Is there a maximum level?

At level 1000 a player’s level simply shows as the infinity symbol. The exact level is still tracked internally so we could at some point show it, but for now those users are just level infinity.

Games with enhanced tracking

Certain games have “enhanced tracking” on PlayTracker, meaning stats beyond just playtime and achievements are synced for them, and those stats often grant additional XP.

For example, every win in Dota 2 grants 0.25XP.

This way service games that a player may play for thousands of hours, going way beyond what the achievement list covers, can continue to push your PlayTracker level forwards.

For some games enhanced tracking works automatically through the platform they are on, but others may require you to link an additional account or input some sort of additional user identifier.
